All too often translation technology is seen as an operational spend, or worse 'tax', rather than an investment in competitive advantage. This workshop will give you the tools to position yourself and your investment in technology as a benefit to your clients.

The workshop will cover:

  • The translation sales process
  • Adapting the process to position your technology investment as a benefit to your clients
  • Understanding the technology advantage
  • Transparency and pricing
  • Explaining the benefits of translation technology to clients

The workshop will use tutor lead instruction as well as facilitated group discussion and break-out sessions. MemoQ products will be used as examples but we will also cover other investments in related technologies.

This is a workshop for translation professionals who would like to know more about the work they do every day. With a localization checklist and a carefully selected number of items (Planning, Tools, Communication, Target audience, DTP etc.), participants are led through the localization process, working together on the most important steps that might help them to do their work even better.
This Minimal Translation Management workshop is particularly put together for freelancers and small LSPs wishing to improve their processes and make their work more efficient.

With a localization checklist and a carefully selected number of items (Planning, Tools, Communication, Target audience, DTP etc.), participants are led through the localization process, working together on the most important steps that might help them to do their work even better.

Priority at this workshop will be given to answering questions and solving problems which MemoQ user want to raise. If there is something which is causing you problems or do understand why MemoQ does something you will be able to raise the issue with Gábor, Kilgray's head of development. If time permits Gábor will also show you tips and tricks so as you get the best results from MemoQ.

The termbase is one of the key tools in MemoQ, but perhaps you've been underusing it.
In this workshop, we will look at the following questions:

  • How to use MemoQ's termbase functionality as a tool to manage terminology effectively?
  • Why use MemoQ termbases and why manage terminology?

Discussion will deal with offering your customers extra services derived from this tool, and why
this is important in today's economic climate.
