Organised chaos - implementing memoQ

Presented by: Anette Jakobsen

In a highly decentralised small company such as GlobalDenmark, translators have very individual ways of working. Standardisation of individual habits (good and bad!) can be a challenge in more than one way. This presentation focuses on the workflows of a small Danish translation company that uses memoQ in its daily work. Workflow descriptions include how projects (local or online) are created and the meta data used in these projects, how TBs and TMs are created for the specific project as well as the review process, which includes GlobalDenmark’s own quality assurance procedures. The presentation will also cover aspects of GlobalDenmark’s terminology management procedures. The presentation revolves around one or several cases where memoQ was used from start to finish and includes examples of how memoQ has improved our business, generated higher productivity in translation and helped the GD increase and share knowledge internally through more consistent work processes. This presentation aims to encourage knowledge-sharing among conference participants through a Q&A session where the audience are invited to share their experience with their own workflows as well as ideas for working with memoQ.
