Presented by: Panel discussion
Recently we have seen some interesting debate on the future of translation technology. Different opinions have been taken on whether translation memory will become an irrelevant technology. The closure of LISA has seen many agree that their standards work was important and should be preserved but differ as to how this should happen. We have assembled a panel of the leading experts on translation technology to look into their crystal balls and see what they think will happen in the future. Is there anything really innovative in terms of translation technology on the market nowadays or is it all just marketing-driven window dressing by the sellers and typical sales and PR spin by the translation service providers? What are the trends and what is the hype. Our panel will have a frank and open discussion about whether translation technology has a future and if so what is it?
